Avatar: New image of the filming of the sequels shows James Cameron in a lab - Hollywood News

The second installment in the saga that tells the story of Neytiri and Jake Sully premieres in the United States on December 16, 2022.

The filming of the avatar sequels is still underway after a break in the coronavirus crisis and fans of the franchise can take a look at one of the new locations of future installments of the saga.

The franchise's official Twitter account shared two images of the shoot. One of them features director and history creator James Cameron sitting in a lab setting. The second is a view from outside the building. "From the set of sequels: James Cameron studies the lab set before the day of filming," can be read in the message that accompanies the tweet.

These photographs are one of the few in the shoot that shows a human decoration. The rest of the images have focused more on the characters of the Na'vi world. It remains to be discovered whether this location will be used in flashbacks with perhaps the character of Grace Augustine or whether it will be part of the present and possibly one of the new threats that the Na'vi will have to face.

Avatar 2 will arrive in the cinemas on December 16, 2022. Avatar 3 on December 20, 2024. Avatar 4 on December 18, 2026. Finally, Avatar 5 will do so on December 22, 2028. These are the dates chosen for the United States. In Spain, we will have to wait to discover the days chosen for the premiere of the sequels.

Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington will return as Neytiri and Jake Sully in the proceeds of the franchise. As for the new signings, the cast features Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Giovanni Ribisi, and Oona Chaplin.
